Hasbro Will Donate Toys To Families Affected By COVID-19 With Every Toy Purchase On Shopee

With an intent to bring some cheer to affected families during these unprecedented times, Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) will be donating toys to underprivileged families in Malaysia for every Hasbro toy or game sold on Shopee.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially challenging for underprivileged families with children, with parents having to struggle juggling work and child-care. To provide some respite to these families, Hasbro has partnered up with Shopee exclusively to donate a toy to The Budimas Charitable Foundation, every time a shopper purchases a Hasbro brand toy or game on the Shopee e-commerce platform.

Hasbro is dedicated to helping families #PlayTogether through its brands, resources, and expertise to improve the lives of children and families around the world. In line with that, earlier this year, Hasbro launched the #PlayTogether campaign in Malaysia to encourage families to spend time together and bond, while staying at home. Hasbro is also donating toys to the children at Shelter, a registered welfare organization, has been in existence since 1981, to help abused, abandoned, neglected, or at-risk children.

Globally, Hasbro has committed additional support through global philanthropic initiatives that aim to bring relief to children and their families worldwide during this difficult time. Hasbro is proud to support Save the Children and No Kid Hungry in their effort to address the most urgent needs of children, including providing nutritious meals and distributing books and learning resources to those children and families most in need. In addition to providing financial support, Hasbro donated thousands of toys and games to low-income communities to continue to inspire creativity and fun for vulnerable children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, in partnership with Cartamundi, Hasbro-sourced manufacturing locations are producing personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers, including 50,000 face shields per week for the next several weeks, to be donated to hospitals in United States.
